Seems is an independent publisher of small run art books based in San Francisco. Our goal is to make original art accessible to everyone. We create books that start dialog and conversation, with a high priority placed on quality and content. We publish a hybrid of zine's and a monograph's, with each book in a solo show format; one artist with a free reign throughout. The name Seems comes from the idea that art and design are not black and white, but gray; there is no absolute; therefore they demand dialog and debate. Seems has also participated in book exhibitions in South Africa, Italy, Canada, New York, and San Francisco.
Internships
Seems is currently considering qualified detail oriented candidates for internships. Internships are unpaid, but will give a first hand experience in book production and design. Seems is committed to providing opportunities and career-enhancing experiences for its interns. Please note, due to an overwhelming number of applicants, we may not be able to contact you in person, but your resume will be reviewed.

Unfortunately we cannot return submissions, so please do not send original artwork. Please note the acceptable form of submissions are as follows:
- Printed dummy book with cover & sample images. (Don’t send originals)
- Pdf/Jpg files of design samples (On CD or DVD)
- E-mail with attached files, under 500k
- All materials sent become the property of Seems, and we cannot be held liable for any damages or loss of materials.
